I have always liked to sing with my voice, but my father considered that soloists are not so well treated and that it is not suitable for a woman to be a soloist, as a result he totally forbade me to sing with my voice, that’s why I started singing secretly, hidden in the bathroom, under the shower, wherever I could singed and he wouldn’t listen to me because it wasn’t ok. Raluca Răducanu graduated from the National University of Music in Bucharest, is a former X Factor and Eurovision contestant and soloist and instrumentalist in the band The Jacks. The artist is also a member of the NGO “Candy Taxi”, a non-profit association that supplies donations to children’s homes, hospitals and nursing homes. In May, Raluca Răducanu launched an initiative to thank doctors and hospital staff who treated COVID-19 patients. Raluca Răducanu’s first performance took place at Colţea Hospital in Bucharest. “It was one of those moments when I felt like I was really alive,” the violinist said at the time.
